what do bloodworms eat?

My boss at the LFS told me that they chuck like pigheart and stuff in with the bloodworms where they raise them... I'm assuming he probably knows what he's talking about considering all we sell is fish and aquaria and he's been doing the fish thing for a long time. So it's not like some random petsmart person making things up.

My 8 corys eat the FD bloodworms, but seem to prefer frozen, and go beserk over live blackworms! Live blackworms are like crack to corys! :D :D :D

Bloodworms are red. I've never seen them available live.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll toss in some salad leaves and a little meat and see which they go for. To clear up the confusion, these are chironomid larvae, not true worms. And I've figured out why they're called bloodworms. It's not the red color — it's because, in large numbers, they have a distinctive smell quite similar to fresh blood.
