This is my first post, so you may have to be patient with me. I've had my aquarium for a while now without much luck (most of the fish died). I now have two bottom-feeders and a Bala Shark. The problem is that my sister, who bought the shark for my tank, didn't know how big they were supposed to get (12 in.). My tank is only a 10 gallon tank. I can't very well go get another tank, so what will happen to the shark? Will it just not grow to its full length? I've heard this is the case with other fish. Please help!

Hi HellenLB and welcome to AC.

I agree with N8DOGG your shark may not look like it is growing on the outside but my understanding is that their innards continue to grow.

I would suggest returning the shark, most LFS take back fish, I would suggest calling the LFS first to make sure they have room.

Good Luck
