What do u do with fry?

Having just found out my OB Zebra has a mouth full of egg's, I'm wondering what everyone does with there fry?

I've only had this tank a couple of week's and never had to deal with this before.

I would like to keep the fry, however, the only spare tank i have is only a 15G "Hospital tank"!! My big one now house's Tang's and Victorian.

I have no idea if any LFS's would take them!!

What do you do with your fry?

Your LFS should buy them as long as you know what they are. If they are pure they should take em no problem, if they are hybrids you should let them know. They might they might not, I dont advize selling hybrids. LFS can be very careless and sell them as pure trying to make the money(all LFS care about). Hybrids in trade can ruin th gene pool. If they are hybrids just use them for your personal liking or food, because there will be many more, you really won't know what to do with them. What kind of OB?

What kind of OB?

They are OB Zebra ( F1).

They aren't Hybrid's of that i am 100% sure. My Grandad got them & he alway's got his from a place in Fife who would order them in!!



I live in Glasgow, Scotland and i know a lot of you's on the site buy Cichlid, find out they are not suitable for some reason or another and take them back. I know most of the store's here (In Glasgow), have a policy that:

If they're is a problem within 48 hour's you can take them back, and after that, your £$@££'d"!!!!

Not the best of scenario's!! So, when you buy them from a store in Glasgow, you have to be really sure!!!

You could put the fry in the 15 gallon QT and try to grow them out...you may be able to find homes for them. If the LFSs don't want them for some reason or other...talk to the folks who work there, they may be interested if they are "fish folks"

I can't sell my rams to the PetCo and PetSmart in my area because those chains have a policy about that...but I do have some of the people who work in the fish dept. there who want some and have given me thier names and numbers to let them know when they are ready to go.

What about advertising in a local paper ? Are there alot of aquarium nuts...I mean..."enthusiasts" in your area ?

Just out of curiosity....what is an OB zebra ?

An "OB"...... ORANGE BLOTCH "Blotched" Zebra!!!

Not too sure how u guy's say it in the Beautiful US OF A or Canada!!
