Yeah, I wouldnt sweat it. Waiting a few days isnt much of a problem especially if your tank is over filtered if there is such a thing. For some reason i waited a month to do my "weekly" water change. With my tetra pf10 (90gph) and aquaclear 30 (150gph, but on low so more like 95gph) kept the tank water crystal clear on my 10g. But there was a lot of crap still in the gravel. And a missing fish.

i would never wait a month unless i was in a full body cast, and id pay somebody to do it. i even did water changes in a cast, which i wasnt supposed to be walking on, haha.
um can carrying a 3 gallon bucket back and forth from the bathroom rupture your spleen if you have mono!!?!?!
a day or 2 or 3 won't be a big deal unless you have really sensitive fish.

surfing the internet takes no energy. getting up and getting hit with a massive headache does. trust me if you had mono youd understand.
This is what I do too - change a few gallons more and the fish will be fine.
Keep in mind there are those in the hobby who only fill to the top of the tank when needed (You know who you are - LOL) and they're fish do just fine.

I have had mono (at the same time as strep throat) so I understand. If you feel the fish wont make it send someone to home depot to get the supplies to make your own gravel vac/python. Then you can start it going lay down, start it filling lay down, and be done! Or wait until you feel better, hope its soon!
Wow, I am totally making a python with my current gravel vacs. I already need to buy a new hose for my small gravel vac bc the old one is nasty. Hello weekend project.
