I use 2 10's and a 20 long for quarantine and do it for at least month. If I remember correctly, I have only treated with meds maybe 5 times in the past 5 years. Quarantine is a must in my home tanks! Cardinals and neons are given a month and a half in fairly dark surroundings. I usually more than one filter running in a tank so I always have the option/possibility of removing one to help boost a quarantive tank if necessary. Lots of decoratiions but no live plants.
