What do you think of lower back tattoos on women?

I love tat's also...don't have any I want a dragonfly with each childs name and birthdate on each wing. I want it on my lower back or right under my neck. My husband say's no way on the lower back, of coarse that IS the spot I want it the most. But he say's it marks you (whatever) not just as a tramp stamp but he calls it a c*m catcher! I say so what I like them there and that would not be the meaning behind it it others feel that was so be it!

k so heres what i think....a tattoo can definantly be sexy IF the girl can play it off. also the tattoo has to have a significant and artistic meaning to it, but listing out the names of people who have died or people they "loved" is a bit tacky.. one or two is understandable but a who list makes no sense.and there has to be an originality to the tatoo too.a generic template layed tatoo is worthless. i hate wannabes who get tattoos to show off that they have one.

position of tattoo is also a factor.. the lower back thing is cute but it is getting played out and slowly being refered to as a tramp stamp, nevertheless if it meets the standards above, i dig it. inconspicous tattoos are also nice ,being as im not a big fan of large tattos.

but anyways.. i like your tatoo Boo... its cool (cuz im year of the dragon :])

and ironically heres a photoshop rendering of a tatto mag i had to do for a class

i like her cute hips :dance2:

I have no problem with tat's, I have 1 on my upper left chest, about the size of your palm. Planning a small addition to it soon. I do agree that tat's are something to get to sig something, whether it be an event, and expression, but i think it should be personal to you.

The wrist in my opinion isnt a very good place for one. Now, I do think it would look excellent there, but theres alot of things to consider, like how it would effect future workplaces, (granted that by the time im out in the "real world" for good, and employed, you'll most likely have alot more exec's with tats, its just becoming a more acceptable thing. But take in to consideration exposure to the elements, a tat getting in the sunlight will fade rather quickly, and will need to have work done on it much much more often than one that is normally covered by a shirt. not only would that get lame fast, it wouldnt look nearly as good, and could get expensive.

I have 2 bracelette tats, and another one on the underside of my wrist. All 3 are special and arent tacky, the bracelette ones look like just that a bracelette. A good way to keep them from fading is to put sun screen on them.

I have a total of 6 and im planning my 7th. I think as long as the tattoo is special to you and you like it, who gives a **** what other ppl think. I agree you do have to watch were you get it when ur in the business world cause sadly the work will judge you by your tattoo.

The only thing i wish someone had told me is how addictive tattoos are.

just not attractive, but thts my opinion.....like asking do u like blondes or burnettes. I hav to beg my GF not to get one, and it's not just "tats" on women either i pretty much think all "tats" are unattractive on everyone. go figure

That is very sexy!
I think quality is awsome, but when I see names across hands etc I am not thrilled. But if you have them done right, and in the right spots, yes, there very nice.
I would have said more this morning but was on the run :)
yours is very nice!!! :)

I agree. . ..

Boo, your tattoo is awesome... Flows very nicely with your body .

I was never big on tattoos on women, having seen them done right changed my perspective on them . . :)

one of my friends got one, thought it was really great and awesome, and then one day she saw her exact same tattoo design and color somewhere else. . . . a sticker on a car!

somebody probably should have told her beforehand that having "Wide Load" tattooed above her rear-end was a bad idea...
