I have a 36g bowfront corner tank that houses what I consider underrated fish commonly available in the hobby. I am just curious as to what you guys think some of the most underrated common fish in teh hobby are.

Some of my top choices are:

cherry barbs
albino cories
diamond tetras

Cherry barbs for sure. An awesome fish.

Would also have to add Brilliant Rasboras.

I like Rummy-Nose, Convicts, and Firemouths... Not in the same tank.

I think guppies are somewhat underrated. They are so common, and there are some junky ones out there, but they definitely notice whats going on outside the tank.

diamond tetra's. i cant wait to get ten for my community tank. i heard they are an awesome fish. We'll see!

And neon tetras are cool--interesting little fish.

black neons tetras
bloodfin tetras
Scissor Tail Rasbora
those are most of the fish at my LFS that never get touched +plus a couple other, just can remember which ones.

I am gonna have to go with cherry barbs too.... feisty little flashes of color. Such a deep color for the males and flashiness of the females. If you look close enough, their fins are awesome when they are alert!
