What do you think?

He seems happy he kind of rules the tank, Always swimming with the clowns too. Anyway forget it ill just ask the LFS. sigh----:headshake2: By the way i don't think im the first person to put a cardnal in as a single.

So you will be getting the most expensive fish in there that will probably not be suitable for you tank

Oh, and I had a single cardinal, he did nothing but look at his reflection until he was beaten up by my dwarf angel and then eaten whilst still breathing by my coral banded shrimp

Edit - I should of listened to people

And it'll be quite hard to sex them unless you can get them side by side as ideally you'd want a male and female in a tank of your size.

I agree with JohnLin about your wrasse though. Do you have a sump or QT you could put it in for a week or so whilst you add your last fish, mine was evil when I added another fish after it.

If you're after colour and definately not going reef, have you considered a yellow pygmy angel? http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/angelfish/yellowpygmyangel/

They can be just as mean as a wrasse

So you are saying a dwarf angel needs a bigger tank than a 40g? I thought many people had these in 29g tanks i must have gotten mixed up with all the reading i have been doing over the last few months. And Im sorry about your cardnal getting eaten I can't beleive you had to watch all that happen. I would have had to take him out or put him in a QT tank when the angel started beating him up. Espeically when he was being eaten alive.

Anyway sorry if i offended anyone (ace) i guess i should have thought my words out before i started typing. I asked for opnions you are right and that is excatly what i got. I guess it just was not what i wanted to hear. But if you think i need another cardnal that is what i shall get(when money permits). That and a shark:grinyes: J/K

The Cherub doesn't need a bigger tank, mine is in a 28 gallon but this is what has caused the problems as he thought the tank was his and his alone (they can be very terratorial). I only noticed the problem with the cardinal when it was to late, ok, the cherub had harrased him a little but to me that is usual for a brand new tank mate (especially as I also keep cichlids) but I went out for a meal and when I got back he was in the clutches of the coral band at which point I tried to save him but the coral band just dragged him all over the tank and by the time he let him go he was dead
