sorry i have so many questions but i am fairly new to all this. I have african ciclids i am feeding them cichild floating pellets(which they are not to excited about) and tropical flakes they seem to like these better. but what else can i feed them?? i heard there was some food to give them to bring out there colours?????

My cichlids get, tropical flakes once a week, they get TetraCichlid (mini granules) i get from walmart 5 day a week, and Tetra Tropical Crisps Pro "from AmazonMoosey.com"
I am trying to get them to eat nightcrawlers but that is a slow prosess, the tropical flakes i feed um just to mix it up a bit more.
I think it's UncleRick in aquabid, who sells really good pellets, the angel/discus pellets all my fish go nuts over.
something else i use to do for my fish, is crush up the shimp pellets i get at walmart, just to add another different food.

But, their are alot fo foods out there you can feed to your fish, it;s just what ones you wanna buy that the fish will eat.

I feed mine mostly cichlid flakes. They dont care much for the floating pellets

you can also use squash or zuccini to mix it up a bit

I feed mine NLS pellets, Hikari pellets, flakes, HBH spirulina pellets, frozen cubes, peas, they also eat leftover cucumber that my pleco doesnt get.

These fish are mostly herbivorous - feed them veggies and possibly some fruits. Any veggie or fruit they will eat is good for them - variety in the diet is also good too. The expiereince I've had with the pair of yellow labs in one of my my aunts (I maintain my aunts tanks) tank is that they turn there nose up to seafoods/"meaty" foods, but the two of them will devour a good sized slice of cucumber within 24 hours.
