what kind of filter do i want for a 75 gal aquarium? i currently have a penguin 200 and love it, kinda anyways, but it only is good for up to 50 gal. so what is your recomendation? should i get another penguin, or get a different type of filter all together?

i'm using a penguin (marineland) biowheel 350 on my 75 gal. and love it. it works fantastic and runs quietly. it costs less than $40.00 if you shop around too.

I would go for a canister. Eheim all the way, uber quite and super efficient.

Depends what fish you are putting in your tank. I have an Emperor 400 and Penguin 350 on a 55 gallon, and that has goldfish in it.

If you can afford a canister filter go with one of them, i've heard Rena XP's are nice. Or just buy 2 Emperor 400's.

canister filter for sure i use a 350 one my 30gallon tank

yeah i'm planning on an xp3 for my 75gal brackish tank.

On a heavily stocked 75 I run and Eheim Pro II 2026 rated for 53-90 gals, an AquaClear (300 gph) and a HOT Magnum (250 gph).

on my 75 gallon im going to use an emperor 400 biowheel and a fluval 104 canister, the emperor is rated for up to 80 gallons and the fluval is from a 20 gallon
