If you know that aquarium experts will not like the number of fish in your tank then why do you have so many? Just a filter alone will not help an overstocked tank the fish need room to swim around and there needs to be enough water to dillute waste untill it can be broken down by bacteria. If you were put in a 10'x10' room with 10 people and had to live there your entire life with only a bucket for all of you to crap in you would all survive, but it would not be comfortable, even if you did have air filtration designed for a gymnasium.

make a sump to increase the water volume to a level that the 10g tank is no longer overstocked. you could use anything that holds water like rubbermaid storage containers, just make sure its fish safe

fballguy explained why a filter alone wont fix your overstocking problem. also nitrates will quickly build up to toxic levels as none of the filters you mentioned remove them.

youve got 4 options- get an extra tank or get a bigger tank or lose some fish or make a sump

As others have said, no matter what size the filter is, you will still have the same level of nitrate buildup in the tank. This can only be removed with water changes unless you are going to go to the large expense of a de-nitrifier.

However, I am a big fan of "over-filtering". The newest filter I have bought for a 10 gallon is an Aquaclear 200 which is made for a 20-50 gallon tank.

I chose aquaclear and probably a 200 unless your fish don't like current. Depending on just how overstocked you are just do water changes more often until you get another tank. Use amrid in your filter as well as everything else. Never change all the media in a filter at the same time.
