What filter would you use?

Yeah an AC 20 would work....flow rate is usually about half of the actual rating.

So I ordered 3 AC 20's from petsolutions $19.99 each-so not too bad I can't wait to get rid of these whispers.

I like the BIO-Wheel filters better. Three Penguin 100s would be perfect. I don't like aquaclear as they have a lot of water bypass the media and I even had one overflow over 15 gallons of water on the floor. The only pro of them is if you tank the basket out and use it as a refugium.

I like the AC's for many reasons with ease of cleaning being at the top of that list
