What filter?

Alright,
i have an AC 50 and an AC 70 on my 29g brackish that i am just finishing cycling. The AC70 i bought used off of Craigslist. It has a a motor that is a bit louder than than the nearly silent AC 50 and, the tank being in my bedroom, is starting to get annoying. I already took the motor/impeller assembly apart twice and cleaned it to the best of my ability. I need to either get a motor/impeller that is as quiet as my AC 50 or find a quieter solution. I had been looking at getting a SUNSUN HW-302 but was not yet sure it was worth it.

so... questions.

is there a fix for the AC?

If i need to buy new parts which ones do i need? just motor? just Impeller? both?

If I need to replace parts, would i be better off just buying a brand new AC 70 for $30 after shipping from BigAl's?

Would buying the SUNSUN be the best option?

Would buying (insert canister filter name here) be the best option?

Check the impellar shaft in the AC in question. Sometimes if they get a little off straight, they can make quite a racket. If this is the case, you can simply replace the shaft and the filter will be quiet again.

Just get a new shaft/impeller for the AC 70...from what I read, that is almost always the issue from them once you have done a terrific cleaning job and eliminated that as an issue.
