What fish should I add first

To provide adequate lighting for my LR, cleaning crew and the fish, mentioned earlier in the post. I would like to do some coral. I have read that the coral needs better lighting. Are there any that this form of lighting will be okay for? I'm planning on eventually upgrading my light but for now I just want to use what I have. Thanks!!

50/50 would be fine. with a fish only aquarium. Also I would get green chromis instead of damsels, there are alot more peacefull and go great with community fish. Plus you can school them. Trust me you dont want to fish out damsels from a tank. Im sure some people know what Im talking about.:thud:

that will be great and bring out color in the fish as well as nice and bright it should grow beneficial algae like coralline but wont really be enough for all corals...depending on the wattage you go with it may or may not support corals.

Yes, I think I have decided against the damsels. Are there any corals that will do okay with that lighting. Or should I just stay away from corals until I upgrade my lighting?

Hi there and welcome to AC!

The Raccoon Butterfly is usually recommended for slightly larger-sized tanks. Also, butterflies aren't recommended for reef tanks.

If you decide on the Yellow Tang (they really like to swim about and are usually recommended for larger tanks as well), I would definitely add him last. One of my biggest mistakes in this hobby was adding a Yellow Tang as one of my first fish. You may want to even consider adding it with the Coral Beauty simultaneously, if you decide on the Tang at all.

Yep. I've been having tang/coral beauty problems for a while now.

And getting a fish out of a tank setup with corals and rocks...

sucks. ;)
