What fish should I get?

Hi again all,
I have a ways to go before i can get any fish but, I would like to start doing research on them before i get them. I can only have 9-10 inches of fish for mt 10X20 10g tank. I want a collorful tank and i have 1 long fined zebra danio in there as my scout fish now. It will be a planted tank, and need some good peaceful collorful fish. :read:

Guppies are very colorful and are small enough for your tank. Platys are also a peaceful and colorful fish but your tank is probably to small for them.

Are you going to keep the danio? If you are, you'd be best off getting more danios, since they like to be kept in schools.

If you aren't going to keep the danio, you could try a dwarf gourami and some small corydoras. Cherry barbs are colorful, too, and look good in planted tanks.
