What fish to put with 7 Synodontis Petricola? Pref blue color and HARD TO BREED

I don't know if you did a lot of research on Syno's but they are known to be egg and fry eaters. They eat at night so I don't think you will have much breeding issues. As a matter of fact people keep synos with fish they are worried about hybridization with. They know the eggs will never have a chance to hatch because the synos are in the tank.

Pulcher's are supposed to be highly aggressive so they probably will be very territorial.

I know you like blue but what about Leleupi they are a pretty orange. I am trying to think of blue but most of the popular fish from that lake like calvus and comps are yellow and black and stuff.

A lot of the feather fins have pretty blues in them but they take up a lot of floor pace because they build big sand bowls to attract females to spawn. You couldn't do very many maybe a trio. That way you will get the two males to display colors to try to attract the female away from the other male.

Buffalohead's , bonus with them is they have blue eyes as well as a blue tint to their body.

They do not get very big and have lots of personality.

Oh my gosh I just looked them up and they are so cute!!! :D Okay, it's settled, I'm getting these guys! I love their eyes. What's their personality like?

They act like big tough guys but in reality are like puppy dogs. They also like to play hide and seek . I think a nice offset for your tank would be to put white cloud minnows or bloodfin tetra's for your top/mid level.

They love feeding time as well. I feed mine with market shrimp and raw fish cut into little bites.

Awh how cute! :) I'm looking for some dither fish right now for some middle/top swimmers :)

The best thing about them is this.

They honestly get to look a lot like mini frontosa, and devlope some very fantastic finnage.

I keep pseudotropheous saulosi and synodontis lucupinnis together in a 75g and it's been a good combo. The saulosi are feisty but not killers, and the catfish are tough. My tank is heavily planted so many saulosi fry survive.

The catfish are very social. You want at least 5-6 if tank size allows and they like to have a hangout. In my case it's some Malaysian driftwood in a corner with some nooks and crannies too small for any adult saulosi.

You also want to get some sinking food for them to eat. They have a tough time competing with the bigger mbuna for food.
