So I have a tropical community tank with a variety of fish, I feed hikari aglae wafers to my plecos (which all fish eat as well). I feed hikari mini pellets for bottom dwelers to my corries, and I feed wardly tropical flakes to everything else. (angels, platys, killifish, balloon mollies, tetras) Im just about out of this food and wondering if there is a better food our or if Wardly is good. I supplement with freeze dried bloodworms and will be feeding some zuccini as well.

I use New Life Spectrum ... good quality with garlic and spirulina ... flakes and / or pellets.

I always read the labels. Unless they've changed, I think Wardley is nutritionally one of the worst foods, packed with filler ingredients. May be okay for the short-term, but as a steady diet, not so much.

So what do you recommend Jannika? I would like to get a normal flake food from a petstore and not have to order online

Wardly isn't a good brand. What you decide to feed depends on how and where you want to buy the food. There are many great online options, particularly if you buy in bulk and can store the excess (we bag ours and store it in a freezer). If you'd rather buy locally a simple comparison between labels will give you the nutritional analysis and ingredient list for each food your local stores carry. Look for fewer grains and a higher content in better ingredients such as fish meal.

+1 for NLS!!

I mainly feed frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, tubifex worms and sometimes freeze-dried blood worms. But two days ago I got some NLS small fish formula and I swear my rams and cardinal tetras go crazier over that than the frozen foods I give them. I think I'll switch to using that as the staple of their diet now and only feed frozen food a few times a week now.
I've tried Omega One but none of my fish will touch it.
