I guess it would depend on what species can be successfully propagated?

Anyone interested/willing to make a list? That would certainly help me (and possibly others) as we continue to "plan out" our tanks.

Thanks in advance,

I guess I'll start...
I frequently frag our toadstool leather (Sacrophyton sp.) and Xenia elongata and take them in for store credit.
I commonly see all kinds of zoanthus, mushrooms, and star polyps sold as frags at the LFSs around my area. Every now and then, there'll be branching hammer, branching frogspawn, and SPS frags available. We only keep softies and LPS in our reef tank, so I'm not familiar with SPS species names.

I always see zoo's and mushrooms, xenia others I cant name.

Actually, every coral sold can be fragged or propagated.

Each coral type has its own technique.

I currently frag the following...

LPS
1. Blastomussa
2. Candy canes
3. brain corals
4. elegance corals
5. bubble corals
6. fox corals
7. All Euphlia species...frogspawn/hammers/etc.
8. Acans
9. Micromussa
10. galaxea corals

SPS
All species.

ZOANTHIDS
All species of zoas and Palys

SOFTS
Xenia
cloves
leathers
mushrooms
anemones
rics
rhodactis
star polyps

Techniques include cutting with...
wetsaw
dremmel
razor Knife

Super glue gel is your friend.

Always run large quatities of carbon and make sure your skimmer is running well.

Water change the second day after a large fragging episode.(min 35%)
