What happend to this place?

I'm sure you are talking the old, old AC...not before the new crew came in and cleaned up, I remember when I first joined yes it was a wonderful place, full of friendly and very helpful ppl. Then for quite a while it turned into a very horrible place to be, this was before "monster network" came in and saved it. People were mean and nasty to others, telling new people that came in with questions they were stupid, didn't deserve pets, and everything else...I am assuming that is not the AC you liked better, because that is the AC we had before the new guys came in, took over, cleaned up and got rid of the bull. Yep, I am very happy they did.

yeah, i was a newbie to fish keeping when i discovered ac and people on hear were nice for the most part.

i don't mind the actual "forum". i am saying that i miss the information section that was separate to the forum before. it ac was a regular website and had a fish database to search and lots of articles and pictures. it was more of a website with a forum. the new ac is just a forum.

Well, help us all go the best way! Any other suggestions on what we could do to help our members?

...were mearly asking you a question as you dont like what you see, what would you suggest to make it better for the members. When you see the new species database, i would like to think that you will be happily surprised....

First and foremost, Aquaria Central is a forum, not information website where people dont directly contibute to the data held within. The addition of extra's like the species profiles will just add to quality of AC as whole....

If Aquaria Central does not fit your needs, or provide the species information you are after, then, why dont you check out www.liveaquaria.com, or www.marinedepotlive.com ....Plenty of species info and data on them websites...

I know this thread is about 4 months old, but after reading all the posts I got to wondering just how old AC is? It seems there are catacombs!

Really though, I found this thread while searching for a species database, so how's that coming along?

We're trying to revise the database. AC has been here since 1998.
