I agree with that.
So a 10% water change IS aggressive. I have been doing 30g water changes in a 180g aquariums with about an additional 40g in the sumps to reduce nitrates and they are coming down.
 
What percentage is "Aggressive" is relative to each hobbiest. I was merely trying to point out that if your trying to correct a problem, IMHO your better off facing the small risk associated with larger(IMO larger than 10%) water changes than letting the problem linger on due to a fear of water changes.
