what is it? And would it survive?

I had thought that some butterfly fish eat aptasia but I dont remember where I heard or read that. Still too early for fish though anyways.

Couldn't you still use the rock itself anyways and just treat it sort of like its base rock or 'almost live rock'? If you did get rid of the 'pest' and were confident that it was gone, it might actually help your cycle by becoming a source of ammonia from the die off? Or am I the one who is still thinking like a newbie? (which is ok, beause I am)

It does'nt matter any-ways guy, i bought some indonesian live rock, and it has some aiptasia, and some other cool things on it. I might just leave it alone, and see how it progress.

What make this so hardy, when other anemones will just die in such conditions.

I would so not leave it alone if I were you. It WILL take over everything I'd use either joes juice, lemmon juice, calcium carbonate injections etc to fry it while you still can.

but if take the LR out off the water, if try to kill it with say lemon juice, wont this also kill any other critters or bacteria.

how long can i leave LR out of the water for?

hey yash, thanks for that mate. All I need now is a syringe, the only thing is, I dont think we sell them over the counter here in the uk, but i'm not to sure on that as have never needed to buy one before.

Iam so glad you can do his in the water, as i dont really want too take the LR out.

Not a problem mate! Yeah, it seems like a really easy procedure without having to take the LR out of the tank. 2 days is all it takes from the looks of it for them to get nuked :) But yeah, definitely get rid of them before the situation gets out of hand.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

yothereyo...If you go to your local chemist, they can supply one over the counter for you..I am in the Uk also and had to get one to feed my poorly cat...so, go and ask, only a quid or or so

Niko

just a update. The lemon juice and needle thing has got to be the hardest thing ever. I managed to get a few, its quite sickly satisfing. But the rest just seem to hide if i get to close, so what iam going to do is try Joes Juice.
Or get a peppermint shrimp, and see how far that gets me.

you don't have to stick it just put the hypo down it's hole and give it a good suirt. If you have a major infestation do it in a bucket etc. joes juice is great imho.
