Knowing the dietary preferences of the fish you keep is part of the game- are they herbivorous, carnivorous, omnivorous?
It's like dogfood- it's not so much the percentage of protein as it is the quality protein included in the mix- IMO.
Preference in foods is governed to a large extent by your own personal ideas about food- do you mind feeding them dye? Milt? Looking for the cheapest or the best? How about preservatives? Concerned about shelf life and need a date of manufacture? Do you favor raw fresh shredded shrimp over chicken peckers in your potted meat?
