What is normal behavior for RCS?

Still no deaths to my knowledge. Changed the tank around so now they are easier to find and no dead bodies. Of course I still can't always find all of them at any given time. Sometimes there's only 1. Another molt last night so I assume everything is fine in there.

It sounds like they are reacting to something irritating--I would suggest double checking everything you use for copper. It is also entirely possible the salt is doing it. They are not saltwater critters.

Actually, picked up a copper test kit yesterday and checked. Zero copper in the water. They seem to look and do fine, no additional deaths since that one sunday. Will keep my fingers crossed.

The ich, while I'm sure not gone is no longer evident on the fish. Never got worse than the initial spots, will have to see if they show up again shortly or not.

eDIT: Can't seem to find a yes or no anywhere but I do have a couple stainless steel washers under the soil and a stainless steel screw into the driftwood. Anyone know if they use copper in the standard stainless washers you would pick up at HD?

Doubt it, as copper isn't very stainless, and even if copper is used, it would show up in test results.

And ich has multiple life stages. The part that's apparent on the fish is just one of them.
