What is the most annoying plant that you still somehow keep in your tank(s)?

algae presently!
:iagree:Having my share of issues with it currently.
I had some duckweed shipped as an extra when I ordered plants not too long ago. Before it could grab hold in my tank and spread everywhere I tried to scoop as much as I could out, but still i find some every now and then.

my most annoying plants are the ones I want but can't afford. HC, which I had once but all died on me; and riccia, which I lust for but when I had funds nobody had it for sale. I want to go full-bore Amano in my "big" (10g) tank but...oh well. It no doubt looks better in my imagined design than it would in real life anyway. :)

And duckweed elimination is just a matter of persistence. Every time you open the lid--feeding, WC, moving a rock, whatever-- scoop out what you see. Eventually it gets down to one or two floaters a day. Not sure it ever gets below that mind you, but keep at it.

I have Riccia loose now that my Dojos made a cave in it. prolly should take out the loose stuff and sell it or try to make another tube of it.

secuono--what is "making a tube of" riccia? Attaching it to a piece of bamboo or other hollow object to grow out? Sounds fascinating, I never heard of this practice before.

I have some baby mollies I would be willing to trade for your loose stuff. Or several adult males, all of whom are lacking proper moral standards of behavior. :)

I had a roll of plastic mesh to keep leaves out of the gutter. Cut a long section and sewed one end to the middle in an 'O' shape, then added little clumps of Riccia in between the outer O and sewed the extra mesh on top to hold it in place. 2 months later or so it really started growing.

Pic when I first tossed it into the tank to grow.

Here is a pic of it now after the Dojos made paths and hide-outs in it. My boy Tiger Dwarf Platy doesn't seem to approve of the mess they made with it, lol.

It used to be very dense and 3-4in thick. Then came along the Dojos and made it all poofy. I didn't realize how unstable it was after they got to it and it came apart in places and now they float around. >.< You used to be able to take the whole thing out and not worry about it crumbling, even if you would drop it/shake it or fan water over it to get poos out of it.

java moss,i cant get it to grow past the rate of the speed of a snail with a broken leg!
Ik! Your telling me! Mine grows soooo slow. Evveryone else ik has no problems with it. they dont have any special CO2 or anything! BAHHHH
