It really looks like a banana plant of which the "bananas" have grown out.. This will happen on older banana plants. OR, the qulaity of the picture is playing with my eyes. Can you get a better one that isnt enlarged so much?

yes it looks like a banana but has never had any bananas on it. I've had them for a couple of years now when I 1st got it it was only about 4" tall. ****new pics up*********

yeah it looks like a banana plant without the bananas!

Are the stems like thick and sorta rubbery? And are the older roots thick and white?

Some can get a little smaller than a shoe string hollow in the middle. Roote thin white and have little spike like off shoots from the main root stems. maby just a variate of the banana? I remeber ordering it off ebay from Aquadise for a couple of dollars, but there was no name in the title. When some of the babys get bigger i'm going to give some away so keep a look out.

Cool I have a 18"+ Banana plant. But no Banana's. looks better to me and easier to plant in the gravel as well.
