What is the newest gadget for fishkeeping you have seen?

Actually the newest gadget... well hmmm is a computer program a gadget? I have a piece of software called Aquarix that is an aquarium mangement software. It tracks all the tank parameters, schedules changes of equipment and water, tracks new fish entries, deaths, births and much more.

AquarioGest is way better :)
 
Grrr... now I have to admit that someone that lives in London, ON got something better than the big city boy ;)

LMAO.... seriously, try it.
I havent used it extensivly yet, but i am very happy i bought it, and it is WELL worth the small price.

hundreds of features for keeping track of EVERYTHING PRECISELY.

I have tried every other program available, and I think reefcon pro is the second best thing.
as for free stuff, theres some good basic programs, but buying AquarioGest i think is a good move for any serious fishkeeper.
 
Actually I went and grabbed a copy of it online right before my above post... lol. It does appear to be better than Aquarix. I have a few issues with Aquarix as the translations were never completed from the original German to English as well as one or two others... well lets see... I can always at least say which is really better as I have now purchased both
 
oh, so now im on the same level as you toronto people.... thats just freakin great.

now I have to build the worlds tallest freestanding structure in my aquarium just to differentiate :D
 
I dont know about new or latest, but when it comes to high tech/computer related I'd vote for something like the Neptune Systems Aquacontroller. It can control and monitor just about anything that can be controlled or monitored. I plan on getting one very soon. Very expandable. Built in webserver. Email alerts. But you have to be willing to part with a little cash. :eek:
