I have a 2 yo Bluegill named Spike, hes around 9". Huge fish but is super peaceful. Unless ur a cricket. Lives in his new 90g bowfront. His buddy who he hangs with is a 1.5 yo Leopard ctenopoma who is around 4". I got spike around 2-3" and the leopard was like 1-2".
Here are some pics I posted of them several years ago. Skippy, the reticulated yoyo, passed about a year and a half ago. Mack has been moved to a 36 bow with a couple new yoyos and some keyhole acaras.
I have only been in the hobby for about 1.5 years, I had a dwarf guorami that lived for 1.5 years. The other day I had someone come adopt my RES turtles and he told me he has a 17 YEAR OLD OSCAR!!!!!!!!
I had a Queen angelfish that lived to be 21 years old. Ive also had a Lion fish that made it to 19 years old. Out of fresh water stuff ive had. Neon tetra's live for 11 years and a clown loach that made it 15 years. I guess thats not bad. Been in the hobby for alot of years..

That's quite a record!!! I can tell you don't move around much?? lol
I had 11 of 18 cardinal tetras live from 00 to 09. Interestingly when I moved them they all died within a week!!
Goldfish Bought 12 for a buck in 79 and all but one passed over the years . The last was found 3 houses down the block after the flood of 06 so that's 27 yeras .
I kept platies swords in that pool from 80 but a combination of record cold and heater breakdown wiped them out in 09. I seriously doubt the original two pairs were still alive but think how many generations that represents?? lol
