What Is This Red Algae/Sea Weed

i have these two different types of algae/sea weed growing off two bits of my live rock

one is like straw to cut but looks like plat roots but a little bushy & red also attaching its self to other rocks the other is like a weird leaf sort red algae/sea weed

are these OK in the tank good sign are bad always puzzled me since its been growing

Seen that on a recent LR purchase...tangs loved it
 
All I know is that it is a macroalgae, Rhodophya (the red algae). As GK said, most herbivores looooove the stuff! I've actually eaten some, too, and it's really not that bad, just kinda salty. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :D
 
It's ok, as long as it's size doesn't start to affect the health of corals (by out competing with them for space). Actually, macroalgaes are often used as way to reduce nutrients in the water and can be considered benificial.
