What is wrong with one of my cardinal Tetras?

I had a similar Cardinal Tetra which never grew past 3/4 inch and had the bent spine. He lived a couple of years and was never picked on by his mates.
Fortunately Cardinals are usually pretty mellow to each other and leave the runts alone.

Thanks guys for all your help. But bad news! The cardinal died:(
The last three cardinals and nerite snail are healthy and lively.

If the cardinal died in the main tank keep a close eye on the others. From my understanding, NTD and false NTD can spread to other fish when the host dies in the same tank.

I will keep a eye on them. Is it possible that he/she didn't get enough to eat? The other fish were always too fast for him/she.
Tried to personally feed it but it always swam away scared.

The difficulty in eating was due to the issue. This is why I said earlier in this thread that when I notice an isolated fish develop this spinal curvature, I keep an eye on it to ensure it is eating and not being picked on. Sometimes they do manage to eat, but I have seen some that can't/won't and just waste away. I really do not think you had any direct part to play in this; it happens. Characins seem especially prone to this, but then I have mainly characins so perhaps not.
