What is your favorite filter media?

a good sponge and something to act as bio-media is all i use also filter floss (the green bag from wallmart works)

on my aquaclear i use a foam filter pad on bottom, then carbon (changing out for another pad) then this bio stuff that came with it

I'm a big fan of the Polyfil as well. I've switched to using it in every single filter.

another one for pot scrubbers and also ceramic rings, normally pot scrubbers as prefilter then the ceramic rings if they are fully submerged, if not fully submerged as in a wet/dry style just use the pot scrubbers. they have more surface area than bio balls.
