What kind of cichlid is this?

Yours is a lot more red, which I personally think it is a good thing...its unique. But I def think it is some kind of synspilum... It has the same black marking going down the tail. As it matures, it might change... Regardless cool looking fish
Yes I have to agree, he's a very unique fish. And if I say so myself, he's beautiful, my wife loves him
yea and the syns. are known to have all sorts of different colors on them and in some of those pics you can def see that. Your fish also have the same body structure. I dont know if you seem them mature but this is what they look like... Not my pic

i think of all the fish everyone has posted on here this fish is definetly what it looks like. Like you said the body structure is very similar
