What kind of Salt Mix do you use?

I was wondering what kind of Salt Mix/Brand do people around here use? You can vote and if you decide; post a reason(s) why you use such brand.

Instant ocean. It's probably the most popular salt used by aquariasts. Many people with reef systems opt for it's sister product (Reef Crystals) as it supposedly has more trace elements. It is a bit more expensive, however.

I use Reef Crystals myself, have for three years now, never had a problem. the price difference is nominal.

I just started a 50/50 mix of Instant Ocean and Oceanic. Oceanic is pricer but with wanting to go reef I don't want to have to dose and on the advice of local reefers this seems popular. Going 50/50 should be fine in a new reef and help keep the cost down.

It depends on the application. For general marine FO tanks, I use Instant Ocean. For FOWLR, Reef Crystals (sometimes for reef as well). Red Sea for Reef.

I agree. When I last had my marine tanks setup, Red Sea was always significantly more though.
