No need to be so pushy, DP. We get the idea that you feel they do better in large groups but in the end it is the tank owner's decision, not our own.
Besides, a betta with 6 barbs, 6 neons, an oto, and 2 adfs in a 10 gallon would be overstocked. Besides... aren't barbs a bad choice for bettas since they are inherently nippy fish? Neons can be that way too when in large enough groups to gang up and bully a long-finned fish.
