What kinds of shrimp do you have in your tank?

10 red cherries that are too big for my tetras to eat, some big amanos, and a few ghosts.

I have RCS, Yellows and Snowballs. If you already have substrate in the tank, I'd choose based on the coloration of your substrate as well as the parameters of the tank. If not, let's talk parameters and then we can give you a good idea of what substrate would make those shrimpies "pop"!

Seriously? Weird! At one lfs they have bamboo shrimp which are a nice green color and at the other they have wood shrimp which are a muddy brown color. Are these color variations of the same species (like cherries and yellow and green shrimp are all the same species) or one just mislabeled?

Could be a range of things. Different breeders (or w/e), diet, etc. Do they look the same other than coloration?

Mine changes color usually with diet or mood. Usually a drab brown but sometimes it has been red and once a pale tan (right after a heafty WC) I've even saw blue hues around it's face a couple times. I think that was when I was feeding a lot of shrimp pellets, and brine shrimp.
