I recently put together a 30gallon community tank, and came home to find out somebody had put 3 plants in it. Being a total novice, I had no idea I had purchased an incandescent light with 15w.
No LFS carries any decent lights. The closest thing I can find is a 2X18W T5, which I could put 2 full spectrum lights in. 36w w/ t5 should be more lumens than a t8? or not? I know a Power Compact 65w striplight would do this fine, but I would have to order one. My LFS suck.
Since I didn't buy the plants I don't know, but I know I have
Red Ludwigia, this is in 2 bunches and doing excellent even in poor light.
Apongeton No idea what sort. nothing fancy. Medium size, green. Leaves died almost immediately and the molly ate it. Sprouting new small leaves now.
Stargrass This is what the invoice said but it doesn't look like the pics.
The third mystery Stargrass plant is seperate stalks with short 1/2' hanging leaves about 30 forming a sphere with the stalk at the center every 1/2' inch from top to bottom.
