hey, all. I just got my 2g up and running with a dwarf puffer. i'm just wondering if I can add a dwarf otocinclus. their max adult size is 1' in length, making them the world's smallest loricariids. if not an oto, what else? or is it perfect as it is? I know I can't add any inverts.

SIGH... but i've got algae growing in akward places, and puffers don't eat algae.

then hand clean it, 2 gallons is pretty small, what do you mean by "awkward places"? a little algae never hurts either.

I mean, in places only an oto could reach, like inside tiny ornaments.

It's a 2 Gallon take the fish out and insert flowers it's to small for any fish

How big an algae "problem" (I almost never consider algae to be much of a problem) are we talking here? magafish may be correct on this one, algae usually isn't that big of a deal and makes the tank look more natural, I actually prefer to have a good growth of algae in my tanks.

from the sounds of things dwarf puffers only need 2-3 gallons to themselves.

otos need to be in groups of 3 or more, and you should never buy a fish just to clean up your tank. that's your job.

2 gallons should be ok for one dwarf puffer. I wouldn't put anything else in there. I am considering a small dwarf puffer tank using one of those plastic critter totes that is around 5 gallons with 2 DP and maybe an ADF.
