what could be the cause of some of my anubias leaves developing brownish circles in the middle of the leaves? they seem to look like dried leaves... but its in the middle of the leaves? not the whole leaves...
I just read another post where someone mentioned brown holes appearing in Anubias leaves being a sign of a K deficiency. Most of us can't test for K, are you adding a fert that has potassium, is it possible it's not enough?
You can try using KCl, one source is 'No-Salt', a table salt alternative sold in grocery stores. That way you can give the plants plenty of K without adding more NO3.
That said, I'm not sure if what your plants are exhibiting is a K deficiency, since I've only read descriptions of deficiencies in print - I haven't seen pictures.
thanks blinky not sure if no-salt is availabl;e here though
if there's k only , i'm thinking if its available in store selling chemicals. can i use that one?
A hydroponics shop or other store that sells this type of chemical may have it, you could also look for K2SO4, potassium sulphate. The hydroponics shop I go to has K2SO4 as part of their basic fertilization package.
