Clear a spot for me!!! I'm MOVING IN!!!
:D
I wish my hubby would let me have a zoo like that!!

What I have now:
Kitties -- inside & outside
German Shepherd mix -- my guard dog
Lhasa / poodle mix -- son's dog
Chickens -- various purebred Bantams & a few Old English Game
2 ducks (one Pekin, one Khaki Campbell) -- Both males, alas, and very elderly.
2 Mud Turtles -- outside in warm weather, inside in cold

I used to have:
Horses -- Grew up on a horse farm (and don't even like to ride!)
A goat -- loved her, lost her two years ago due to old age
Hermit Crabs -- interesting little creatures
Geese -- all gone a few years ago due to age

Want someday:
Miniature goats
Alpacas
Burros
Quail
Pigeons (yes, really)
(and will always have chickens)

(Perhaps I should explain Jake, the possum, who is also listed in my sig. Jake came to us as a young possum a few years ago. He spent the winter living on our porch, leaving only to relieve himself & to get something to drink from the back ditch. He returned every winter for the next two or three years, spending the coldest nights here. Last year we saw Jake less, just a few nights, but it was a warm winter. This winter, he has come by to steal cat food a few times but it's only been below 45 a few nights so he's not too worried about his safe perch on the porch -- plus he and the now 3 year old outdoor Tomcat don't like each other much. Hence, Jake is our "part time pet" possum...who actually may be a SHE since we had a young possum visit for a couple nights last year, though we couldn't tell if it was with Jake or ANOTHER possum...)

LOL...come on over...but you MUST bring your Dingo!!!

Hubby is NOT at all fond of the critters. He was raised that animals do not belong in the house. I guess he just married wrong! LOL. He tolerates the animals. We are actually a bit low on the house animals right now. I foster a lot of unwanted house birds until I can find them appropriate homes and haven't had one since October. I have always been a huge animal freak and have had just about everything in the house at one point in time. I have finally came to the decision that I am at maximum capacity now animal wise. I spend at least 2-4 hours a day between feedings, cleanings, etc. I love them though and I'm not complaining.

a harlequin dane named Bailey, a miniature schnauzer named Snickers [queen of the house], the 75G -> in sig, betta one named Squishy and betta two named feisty (thanks to my dad lol) ...and thats about it right now. We have, however, been home to the following over the years.

In the house mind you: 2 chicks, a bottle fed calf, pot-bellied pig, fainting and pygmy kids, lamb, ferrets, golden hamster, orphaned birds and squirrels, flying squirrels, mice, rats, ball pythons, corn snakes, gopher snake, a raccoon, anoles, leopard geckos, an iguana, tree frogs, dumpy frog, red bellied newts, a chinchilla, dutch rabbit, dwarf russian hamsters, gerbils, bearded dragon, toy poodle, shih tzu mix, dalmation, various rescues, another dane, and countless others that have escaped my current memory. Of course they were not always mine but I have either babysat them or done rescue/placements for them. I believe the only animals I haven't had contact with are a cat and a horse... simply because even being one for 15 minutes can send me to the ER unable to breathe :(

besides my fish i have
Paris, female black great dane. only pet i love more than my fish.
Angel, a tiny sheltie. chews everything you can imagine.
Tweeters, a white cockateil. the most hateful bird i have ever seen. dislikes everyone except my wife and daughter.
then there is the cricket infestion that no chemical or bug man can seem to eraddicate. its the spiney leg ones that look like spiders.
