I was close pals with the owner of a local shop since I was a kid.
As the years went by and Wally got older (I stayed the same age) he grew fond of an alley cat and named her Ashely. Eventually he let her stay in the shop full time and she became the shop's mascot. When he retired he could hardly take care of himself and I adopted little Ashley kitty and brought her home.
I never thought I'd be much of a cat fan, but for us she's worked out well.
She knows when we sit down for breakfast and dinner, eats with us and never begs or carries on about food, she picks up her toys when she's done with them and let's us know when she leaves litter in her box. She's as self sufficient as an animal could be and great company. Granted, she sleeps a lot nowadays because of her age, but even at that, if we move from the living room to the game room, she relocates with us and goes back to sleep beside us.
I've heard people say that cat's are difficult to train, but it was never an issue for her. She caught on quick and never varies from her routine.
Truly glad to have her aboard.

Aside from fish we have 2 dogs, a shepherd and a smaller lab/mix.

Last couple years I've been reducing the number of fish and collecting snakes. Currently have 53, with 30 of those being babies less than a month old now. Only ones I'm breeding/raising currently are Dominican red mountain boas, though I do have a pair of Japanese rat snakes that I plan to breed when they're mature enough.

....and his father Diablo who we unfortunately lost this Fall to a very rare, virtually unknown autoimmune disorder which nothing we did seemed to help him. He was my favorite and my original best friend. HE was trained in over 20 English commands and 5 in Spanish. He was a truly magnificent beast, 1005 pure American Pitbull Terrier, Colby bloodline. RIP Diablo 11/23/2004 - 9/19/2016STA_1721.JPG STB_1722.JPG STC_1723.JPG STD_1724.JPG STE_1725.JPG STF_1726.JPG STG_1727.JPG STH_1728.JPG STI_1729.JPG STJ_1730.JPG STK_1731.JPG STL_1732.JPG STM_1733.JPG
