Looks like Anubias sp. If so, plant it in your substrate keeping the top of the rhizome above the surface of the substrate. Shouldn't be too picky regarding environment...moderate light OK so doesn't need to be in the middle unless you want it there. It isn't a difficult plant to keep per literature.

I'm pretty sure that's Anubias barteri var. angustifolia (a.k.a.: A. lanceolata) - a very nice slow growing low light plant. Propogarion by dividing the rhizome, which should be kept out of the substrate. It can send roots into substrate, or it can/will attach itself to rocks, driftwood etc.

PS - afzelii - looks like it, but is a lot bigger than barteri angustifolia

When I saw the leaves I thought some sort of melon sword, then I scrolled and saw the stems and rhizome... Looks like a nice anubia (I don't think that is a species yet)

thanks for the info... i think it's the Anubias barteri var. angustifolia http://www.aqa.ru/photos/details.php?image_id=18533 mainly because of the size and the pinkish brown rhizome and new stems and leaves.. as time goes on though, the size of it will determine this i guess
