what salt to use?

I have always used Tropic Marin Pro which is a good reef salt mix. I try not to buy online because of the shipping costs. Most salts are available locally, even at a petsmart if you are going for IO. If you do a search in the threads here on AC you will find other threads which also go through all the various salt mixes out there.
if your looking for lots of coralline algae growth, Oceanic seems to work wonders for me. I can get a 90g mix for about $20, not bad considering it will last me for some time.
no i dont greg the only 1 that did went out of business... i think im gonna go with seachem as im lookin at getting a few corals down the road
I think petsolutions doesn't charge extra for salt shipping. They don't have alot of different kinds of salt, but I ordered 3 buckets of IO (one for me and two for friends) and shipping was $14.00 for that and the rest of the order (I don't buy salt locally because they charge $70 for IO, $75 for RC and even more for the other kinds).
Wow that sucks. I guess mail order is the only way to go. I've always had good luck with Instant Ocean but have to add trace elements for the coral. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.
