If a 6-pack of angels is not nice enough for the family to look at, I hardly think that BB gobies & mud-skippers would be an adequate improvement.

Make it a FOWLR (dwarf Lion, little Trigger predator tank or get a rock beauty, dottyback, diamond/pistol shrimp combo...) go to the dark side (I hear they have cookies).

my family does love the angels, but im moving them into a 75 gallon to make an amazing freshwater jungle that i have planned. As far as the 45 gallon, im looking at some corals right now, and salt water seems very appealing..

I would say SW but a tall narrow tank doesn't really lend itself well to aquascaping liverock. Now if it was a 40B....FOWLR/reef all the way. I'd do the angels in that tank though with some tall stem plants or vals.

GO salt, if you go brackish it's like you are only going half way to the good stuff :D although I only care fore the salt water tank at work, I only have fresh at home

i know nothing about saltwater so i guess i have a bit of research ahead of me

I voted SW. You already have a FW tank, it should be more interesting with 1 of each. You also said you were interested in corals :)

Why is this thread in GCC?
