What should I do with my redtail shark?

Should I return my redtail shark?

I phoned the lfs today and they said they'd happily take both fish. Any ideas as for a peaceful fish i could replace them with - especially if there is a cichlid species that could work...
 
other bottom dwellers in the tank too - a weatherfish (4") and marbled syno (4")

Those guys aren't done growing yet (I think - others will correct me if I'm wrong). My first thought was more along the lines of finding a bigger tank for what you're planning to keep...
 
^^^^I originally thought this - however having done some research the weatherfish gets to around 4-5". It is the same genus as the weather loach, but a smaller and slimmer species. the marbled syno maxes out at about 5", and is not the most active fish in the world. I have made sure I have nothing over 6".
