First of all, whats the best generic food for it... flake food, pellets, etc.?

Secondly, I've heard of people feeding their terrors feeder fish and worms... if thats ok for the terror, what feeder fish, and what worms?

1 last question: I was at my lfs today and there was a full grown terror there and some baby terrors aswell. The full grown one flipped out when it saw the color red, but the baby ones did nothing. I am wondering if all green terrors hate red, or if the adult just had a bad experience with a red fish.

When it comes to Cichlids, I tend to use Hikari Pellets. Earthworms and/or nightcrawlers are okay (don't really know the difference) as long as you cut them up to manageable eating size. As for Feeder fish, there really isn't any good ones unless you raise them yourself, but if your looking to buy them, go with Guppies and Minnows. Quarentine and gutload them with quality food before feeding them to the GT.

I personally feed my SA/ CA the cichlid stick mix from Kensfish.com. I wouldn't use worms bought that were intended as bait. The possibility of introducing something bad into your tank is too much of a risk for me. Any time you feed something live that you haven't grown your self you take that risk.

I wouldn't worry about worms causing a problem but I make it a point never to feed live fish to any fish other than obligate piscivores like Acestorynchus sp., etc. The chance of disease is much greater. Fish that only eat other fish generally eat the sick and wounded preferentially because they're easier to catch. Fish of this type by necessity would have to have developed a higher level of resistance to pathogens.

That's what I thought, but there have been many hobbyist, including myself, that have lost fish to this mentality.

We all lose fish for lots of reasons.

I agree. I feed my cichlids 3 types of Hikari Cichlid pellets, Massivore, shrimp pellets, FD shrimp, thawed shrimp, crickets and earthworms. I stay away from feeders except for the ones I breed (fathead minnows, Giant Danios, baby convict cichlids).

Feed it mostly pellets. Flakes get ground up so the particles are way too small

I feed mine (7" male) mainly hikari sinking cichlid gold; also some omega one cichlid pellets, those are smaller than the hikari stuff though and he seems to prefer larger pellets.

Live foods are good, if you use fish don't get them from a store and don't use goldfish.
Insects, worms, etc are fine. Mine loves earthworms.

Frozen krill are also good.
