hi, Im thinking of getting a 55 Gal, I want it to be planted and i have a good idea of what I am going to put in it, Im only wondering what to get. Currently I am leaning to a canister, but i dont really know anything about them. hopefully i can develope a full parts list down to the substate. I would appretiate any help.

about 10 neons
5 coreys
2 CAE
a few angelfish
and a RTS
thats what i have sofar ill probably change it before im done though
 
I wouldn't keep a CAE in a community aquarium, definately not 2, as they get older they will harrass other fish, including each other, and may become aggressive towards the RTS.
RTS can also be aggressive or harrass other fish as adults, but personally I'd go with one of those in a 55 rather than a CAE which is almost guaranteed to do so.

it was interesting watching my RTS grow up in my 20 gal with my 2 CAEs at first the CAEs would chase around the RTS and bug him, but now that he is almost full grown its a whole nother story. It seems as if he is paying them back in full for when he is younger.

dont worry though i watch them closely there isnt any fin nipping or any physical damage to the fish, they just get chased around for a min then he leaves them alone for hours.
