well im building well resiliconig a 75 gal tank and was wondering what a good silicone was for aquariums. also if ge1 was a good silicone

When I resealed my 55g I just picked up a tube of 100% silicone caulk from the local hardware store. You can buy 100% aquarium silicone for @ $ 11.00 a tube but as long as you use 100% silicone it will be safe for your tank and cost less than half as much. I had no problems with my 55 after using the hardware store silicone. Personnally the 100% aquarium stuff is just a way to make money off of aquarium owners by making them "feel" like they need it. Just my 2 cents.
GE1 is what I used, also on a lot of other forums this is the only silicone they recommend

ditto! This is a great resource and you can find tons of information both at that link, and here on AC.
The best part is that it is WAY cheaper than any silicone marketed specifically for aquariums.
DAP also has safe silicone, make sure it doesn't have any mildew inhibitors. Door & window caulk usually doesn't, kitchen & bath often does.
