well im building well resiliconig a 75 gal tank and was wondering what a good silicone was for aquariums. also if ge1 was a good silicone

When I resealed my 55g I just picked up a tube of 100% silicone caulk from the local hardware store. You can buy 100% aquarium silicone for @ $ 11.00 a tube but as long as you use 100% silicone it will be safe for your tank and cost less than half as much. I had no problems with my 55 after using the hardware store silicone. Personnally the 100% aquarium stuff is just a way to make money off of aquarium owners by making them "feel" like they need it. Just my 2 cents.

NUFLEX 333 is a non toxic 100% silicone sealant

if you can, look for "food grade" silicon, but the shop I work in thinks it's all safe once dry.

thanks everyone and also for the link I just picked up a tube of GE 1 taday I will start today imma let it cure for a week to be safe
