What size was your first tank?

my first tank was in 1986 when I was a kid... It was a 10 gallon and I had a couple of goldfish... type fish kids tanks... overstocked. My father wouldn't allow us to have pets other then one cat so shortly after they all died that was the end...

After I got married in 1991 I got a 10 gallon community tank with some barbs, swordtails, etc. Within six months I had the 10gal along with a 29 gallon, a 50 gallon and a 30 gallon Hex. Although in 1998 we made a major move and decided to sell the tank because it was so hard to move then.

SO again a little over a year ago I started back up.. with a 20 gallon and then a few months ago I got a 72gal. When the money is better I want to get one of those 90gal Wave Tanks.

My first tank was a 20g Long. Incidently my second tank was a 20g w/ slate bottom and steel frame...I never should have gotten rid of it.

Currently I have a 55g, 75g, 210g, and a 30g Q-tank.

I started off with a 10 gallon Freshwater. I now have a 29 gallon planted FW tank. I have other tanks as well, but they are for reptiles mostly, a Q-tank and am planning on a 100 gallon or larger planted FW with small tropicals in the future.

72 Gallon. I just got into the aquarium hobby 5 months ago, and im already growing a heavily planted tank with tons of light and pressurized C02 injection!

Not bad ehh :D

Mine was approx 5 gallons, though I never checked the exact volume (I was like 9). It was a single piece glass thing, sort of like a cube garden, but quite old and really not so transparent. I kept locally caught minnows and salamanders in it. At one point, i actually threw in some plants plants I scored from a pond. Gosh was that a disaster.

Anyway, I then graduated onto a stock 10 gallon with all the fixins. Had a 55 terrarium for a while, and then a 29g. Then I went off to college.

Now it's just a planted 29, a planted 10 Nannacara tank, and a 5.5g multi-purpose.

My 1st tank was a 10g as well. Then I got a 20g, 40g breeder, and a 90g. Now I have a 55g running and another 10g(empty). A 130g is in the planning sometime within the next year or whenever I move out of my 2nd floor apt.

My first was a 20 gallon community tank.

Now I have: Two ten gallons, a 20 gal. long, a 29 gallon, and a 40 BR. Adding more to my collection constantly! I hope to set up a 75 sometime this year.

My first tank was a 5 gallon acrylic tank from wally world ten years ago. I was 12 at the time, and the only reason we got it was because my little sister won a fish at the fair. Before that my parents would not let me have a tank despite all my begging and pleading. Long story short, I ended up taking care of the fish for about 3 years until it drown by getting its fat self stuck between the wall and the uptake tube for the UGF. (It did not help that the tank was too small, but I did not know that then.) Now I have a handful of tens, a 29, and a 55. Plus I still have that first one as a qt tank.

We started with a 10 gallon.

Now we've got a 46 bowfront waiting to be set up (we've had it for a couple/three years, but we moved in August and never set it up after the move)....and our neighbor just got rid of a 55 gallon, which we got - it's in the garage too until I can scrape together stand, filter, light, etc. money.

Right now the only set up is the 10 gallon.

my first tank was a 10g with crabs and a few fish, i still have a 10g, an empty 20g and soon.........i hope.........a 55-75g.
