What size was your first tank?

-started $2 walmart 1gal glass cookie jar w/ my betta Violent J.,

-then got a 5gal from a friend for free so J. and some tetras went in there. :)

-Then i bought a 55 for J. and the neons, from a friend who needed $20 for x-mas shopping. :)

-getting a 25 from my g/fs attic for free this wk :)

currently running the 55 community and the 5 as a breeder. cant wait for the 25

for 4 different tanks i will have paid a total of $22 :dance
 
My first tank was two tanks (do you see a trend starting here?) which I think was a 20H over a 15, but I have been told that it was a 29 over a 20-long. And they were stainless framed and slate bottomed.

My current operating tanks are listed in the sig line, but I have more gallon capacity not operating than I do running.
 
First was a 55 acrylic bought used from LFS - complete setup including tank, stand, hood, gravel, decor, filter, heater, powerhead, air pump, fish food, chemicals, test kits, everything for $100.00.

....three years later,

125 acrylic bought new at LFS (and BigAls) for $1400.00 - complete setup, etc., etc.

Also have empty 20 gallon setup with everything that was given to me for free from someone who knows I like fish.
 
i got my first tank when i was 12, i think it was a 10 gallon
didnt know how to take care of the fish, they kept dying

took a break from fishkeeping for about 6 years
purchased a 15g a few months ago and loving it ever since :)
