Just currious. What size and frequencies are your water changes?

I do 20% every two weeks in my 20 and 10 gallon and 10% weekly in my 45. I'd do more in the 45g, but when the water input nozzle for the filter gets above the water line it causes wicked currents.

not too much, some people recomend 25% at least once a week.

It's different for each tank. My 10 gallon doesn't show nitrates (I have to add them as KN03) so I do 25% just to do a water change.

In my 28 gallon, testing over several weeks determined that it takes approx 30% to keep my nitrates under 10. Every few months I retest to see if my water change levels need to be increased or decreased, but usally it stays pretty much the same.

25% a week for my 12 gal. due to high nitrates. Once my 55 gal. is stocked I'll probably do the same regimen. Both tanks are/will be moderate to heavily planted.

~20% 2 x week on my 30g
~100% weekly on my 55g
~100% weekly on my 75g
~30% weekly on my 210g

Water is heated, treated with Prime, and aged at least a day before I change. There is minimal to no difference in the pH or temperature of the changewater, and I've noticed improvements after switching over to larger water changes. Unfortunately, I can't prepare enough water at one time to do larger changes on the big tank.

how do you manage 100% water changes? Do you do it in stages? some this day, some the next day?
