Hopefully someone knows what this is.. I have no clue, but it kinda freaks me out.. I mean, come on, look at its face!! what the heck is this?? theres more and more coming around everyday!

They don't bite or sting. Plant eating insect. Most famous from the plagues on Egypt in the Bible.

yes, they make a loud noise when they swarm and they can decimate vegetation which is a plague when you're relying on your crops for food.

Believe me, if you ever find yourself lost in the dessert and you find a cicada, go ahead and eat it, they are quite nutritious, lotta protein and fiber (just make sure you snap the head off). lol
